Due to the passing of Legislator Barbara Jeter-Jackson on May 24, 2020, Legislator Barrington R. Atkins now holds the appointment as Legislator for District 10 (City of Poughkeepsie). We welcome Barrington and hope the easing of COVID restrictions will allow a new group photo soon.

The County Legislature meets monthly on the 6th floor of the Dutchess County Office Building, 22 Market St. Poughkeepsie. Due to COVID and the Governor’s suspension of the open meetings law, public comment is currently accepted by email. Meeting dates are here and meetings can be watched live and are videotaped–you can watch here.
Democrats hold a monthly open caucus via Zoom, generally on the Monday night one week prior to the legislature’s monthly meeting (holidays can change this schedule).
